Stock memory detection and performance is pretty slow for the DFI compared to other boards. Despite using Corsair 1,600MHz C9 memory (B.E.M.P ready), the board selected just 1,333MHz at C9. The latency was also notably higher too by a few nanoseconds. The copy performance takes a very large, and consistent hit though. We tested this with multiple DDR3 DIMMs and despite minor differences in the detections of SPD settings the general ratio of MB/sec was the same - that's not a good result for DFI.

Sisoft Sandra tells much the same story - the latency is notably higher and the overclock memory performance has taken a nosedive: on the whole, the Asus board affords 14 per cent higher stock bandwidth out the box.
